“She was super supportive,” Tyler, 27, said of 55-year-old Andrea, who died on Saturday after being hospitalized two days earlier. “But what was so amazing… she was supportive for [Hannah] and everyone else who was a part of that show but she was also supportive to the random fans,” whom she’d go so far as to exchange recipes with.

Tyler and his brothers, Ryan and Austin, spoke about their mother’s charitable efforts in the Jupiter, Fla., area where she resided.

“She was a mom to so many,” Tyler said with Ryan, adding, “My mom didn’t care who you were, where you came from, what you’ve done or anything at all. She saw everyone as the same. She just wanted to help everybody and help them out with whatever they needed help with.”

And while she loved giving back, she also just loved having a good time.

“She could have fun, I could tell you what,” Tyler said. He recalled bringing Andrea to the People’s Choice Awards in November, where she got more TV time than he did because she was seated behind Blake Shelton.

“It hurts because there were so many cool things for us to do down the road,” he said. However, he added, “I’m grateful I got to spend that kind of event and moment with her.”

Last Thursday, Tyler canceled an event he had with Good Morning America, citing a “family emergency.” He asked his fans, “Please pray for my mom and my family,” without elaborating.

It was reported that she was hospitalized that day and died on Saturday. He confirmed her death on Monday, sharing a photo of him and his brothers holding her hand as she was hospitalized.

“Today heaven gained an angel,” Tyler wrote in his Instagram post. He urged his fans to “tell those you love that you love them.”

When Tyler appeared on Season 15 of The Bachelorette last year, he spoke of how his father Jeff Cameron, who was divorced from Andrea when Tyler was young, had recently had a near-death health scare, which almost prevented Tyler from appearing on the show.
