Now that Ashley Graham has shown off her curves and stretch marks, other women are following suit.
Her show of self-love resonated with fans, many of whom have been inspired to share their own revealing, body-celebrating snaps.
Graham, who is expecting her first child with husband Justin Ervin, is cheering them on by sharing the photos on her Instagram stories. Like hers, many of them show off stretch marks or scars and feature pregnant and postpartum bodies. They also include empowering messages of self-acceptance and body positivity.
“I could pick out every flaw in my body if I wanted to, but if it wasn’t for all these flaws I wouldn’t have my son,” wrote one woman.
“Whether it’s soft, big and stretched, or I decide to work towards change, this body is a good body,” another mom posted alongside a shot of her stomach.
But it’s not just moms who are stripping down. Graham’s post also struck a chord with people of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds.
”My body has changed drastically in the past year and I’ve been hiding it with hoodies which is mainly why I wear them year-round,” read one post. “And I do work out a lot. But who cares right? I don’t have a perfect body but my body is perfect for me.”
“I have stretch marks, rolls, cellulite, dimples and scars all over my body,” one trans woman shared. “We are taught to feel shame for our ‘flaws’ when they are actually our power. Learning to love every inch of me has been a dynamic journey.”
