This 89-year-old dance instructor has shown no signs of slowing down

Ageless” profiles seniors who are pursuing their passions well into their golden years, from drag queen performances to competitive sports.

Ned Williams might be 89 years old, but that’s not going to stop him from absolutely bringing it as a dance instructor — or being a little bit mean to his students.

He’s been dancing and teaching for over 70 years.

Wanda, one of his students, told In The Know that Williams is extremely thorough — calling him a “master technician.”

“I see Ned in class and I say, I still want to be like him,'” she added.

Another one of Williams’ students, Cagney, says the class is focused on the Dunham technique, which involves a lot of core movement and “undulating.”

“There’s also a lot more isolation and precision than you would get with a typical ballet class,” she said. “There’s a method to Ned’s madness. It works.”

Williams has a bit of a reputation for tough love.

“People say I hurt their feelings? No,” he said. “You’re hurting dancing. I’ll curse you out.”

He told In The Know that without his dance classes, he would “go insane.”

“I’m very frank. You come through that door, I’m the boss. You can’t do it, you leave,” he said. “If you want to do something, you can do it. It takes work.”

Brooklyn, another student and fan of Williams said the classes are “extremely intense,” but she loves them.

“It’s like a good scotch. You know what I mean,” she said. “It’s not for everybody, but that doesn’t mean the value of the scotch isn’t what it is.”

In spite of his no-nonsense attitude, Williams feels for the people he teaches.

“When I teach, it’s in my blood, I feel it,” he said. ” I love my students. I love them. I know they love me.”

He doesn’t have any plans to slow down, of course. He’s happy with his life the way it is.

“When I go in that bed at night time, I sleep damn good,” he said. “I did my best.”
