The post mortem for the Wild's 2023-24 season, their second without a postseason appearance in 12 years, was full of disappointed faces. General manager Bill Guerin, coach John Hynes and a phalanx of players all expressed regret at what might have been.
A big focus of the Minnesota Wild's offseason is improving their secondary scoring. At 5-on-5, that trio scored 53 of Minnesota's 155 goals (35.2% of the total). Marco Rossi (18) and Ryan Hartman (12) were the only other Wild players who scored 10 or more goals.
Danila Yurov and Metallurg Magnitogorsk are in the KHL finals. Yurov is showing to be the NHL's 2022 draft steal. Yurov would be a perfect fit next to Marco Rossi. Bill Guerin shouldn't move Rossi in the offseason, but he reportedly is thinking of moving on from the rookie center.
