The Nashville Predators had a two-goal lead late in the third period and a stranglehold on puck possession, giving the Vancouver Canucks nothing to work with. It seemed unlikely that the Canucks could get two shots on goal in the final three minutes, let alone two actual goals. If you had stopped watching that game with three minutes left and another fan told you the Canucks came back to win the game, you would dismiss that fan, saying, “That guy just isn't credible.” Brock Boeser scored two goals in the final three minutes of regulation, Colton Sissons hit the post on an empty net, and Elias Lindholm ended it in overtime.
Dakota Joshua said it was a “spectacle.” Quinn Hughes called it “electric.” Rick Tocchet described it as “incredible.” Canucks fans welcomed the return of Stanley Cup Playoff hockey back to Vancouver with a jet airplane roar.
The Vancouver Canucks have tipped their hand a bit when it comes to the lineup for tonights game against the Arizona Coyotes. The 23-year-old goalie is 3-0-0 this season and just backstopped the team to a huge win over the Vegas Golden Knights. “I'll talk to Clarky…we haven't made it 100% but looks that way,” said head coach Rick Tocchet about the decision to start the Latvian goalie tonight. When it comes to the return of Lindholm, the head coach held his cards a bit closer to his chest.
