Zumbrota closes swimming pool due to safety concerns
Apr. 20—ZUMBROTA, Minn. — The Zumbrota Swimming Pool has closed due to safety concerns.
"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of the city pool due to safety concerns," Zumbrota Swimming Pool said in a Facebook post on Friday, April 19. "We understand the inconvenience this may cause, especially with the approaching summer season. However, ensuring the safety of all pool users is our top priority."
The swimming pool will remain closed until a new one can be built. The city is expected to vote on a levy for the new pool in August.
"In the meantime, we encourage you to explore alternative recreational activities in the city and thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time," the Facebook post said.
