Yellow thunderstorm warning issued for Devon

A yellow weather warning for thunderstorms has been issued for parts of Devon.

The Met Office said it could bring possible disruption until about 19:00 BST on Sunday.

The forecaster said travel disruption, flooding and power cuts were possible.

It also said lightning strikes could damage buildings and structures.

The forecaster said some places may see 15mm to 25mm (0.6in to 1in) of rainfall in the space of just two hours.

A couple of locations could see 30mm to 40mm (1.2in to 1.6in) of rainfall, it added.

The warning covers areas including Exeter, Totnes and Princetown.
