Wyandotte man killed in crash

MANGUM, Okla. — A Wyandotte man was killed in a one-car crash in Greer County after his car rolled three times and he was ejected from the automobile, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Calvin M. Gaston, 79, and Levina S. Foreman, 75, of Grove, were in a crash on Sunday around 1:30 p.m. on US-283 at N 1960 RD, approximately two miles east of Mangum, the patrol reported. Greer County is in the far southwestern part of the state near the Texas border.

Gaston was pronounced dead at the scene by Greer County Emergency Management Services. Foreman was flown by helicopter to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in critical condition with internal injuries, the patrol said.

Gaston’s vehicle was northbound on US 283 where it failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle swerved back and forth a few times before leaving the roadway, rolling three times, the patrol said.
