A groom's first look at his bride on their wedding day is always a special moment, but this Chicago bride took it a step further to ensure her man would never, ever forget.

Elizabeth Rex Hundley went through all the usual steps in getting ready for her wedding that morning-hair, makeup, jewelry, and putting on the dress. Then, she stepped into an orange, inflatable T-Rex dinosaur costume and sped off to surprise her soon-to-be husband, Tom Gardner, at their November wedding in Bald Head Island, North Carolina, according to The Huffington Post.

In this viral video shared on Facebook by wedding videographer Jon Clark Weddings, we see Elizabeth dressed in her costume shuffle up to Tom while his back is to her. When he finally turns for a first look at his bride, his reaction is equal parts surprise, laughter, and love. It's truly amazing to watch.

But the moment isn't just hilarious-Elizabeth had a personal reason for donning the costume. Like her mother, Elizabeth's middle name is Rex. "I thought it would be funny to wear the costume on the day I would go from a Rex/Hundley to a Gardner," she told the Huffington Post. "I even had my bridesmaids take pictures of me the day before the wedding holding a sign that said: 'Today a Rex, tomorrow a Gardner.'"

It's not the first time costumes have marked a significant moment in the couple's lives. When the they first met in 2012 at a Chicago bar, Elizabeth was wearing a Captain America costume. Two years after that, Elizabeth and Tom started dating, and they've been engaged since August 2015.

Elizabeth admitted to being a little nervous about Tom's reaction, but as the video shows, the sweet groom could not have been more pleased. "It validated for me all the planning that went into that day and started things off right and kept it lighthearted," Tom said. "I knew I was marrying my partner in life."
