Woman stabbed Thursday evening in Pheasant Run Apartments

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Lafayette police were called to a stabbing in the 3100 block of Eagles Way Drive in Pheasant Run Apartments about 5:20 p.m. Thursday.

The call came in as a request for officers to check on a person's well being, according to police bulletins.

The victim is a woman who is in serious condition, police said Thursday night. Paramedics rushed the woman to a local hospital for treatment and she was transferred to an Indianapolis hospital, police later said.

Police did not release the factual circumstances of the assault Thursday night or Friday.

Police said the attacker and the woman knew each other, and the assault was targeted, so there is not danger to those living in the apartment complex in the 3000 block of Brady Lane.
