Woman rescued after truck overturns during crash in Bedford

BEDFORD, Va. (WFXR) – The Bedford Fire Department reports a woman was rescued from her vehicle after it overturned during an accident on May 14.

Around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, fire and rescue crews were dispatched after receiving information about a truck accident on Five Forks Road in Bedford.

On the scene, units found a woman trapped inside a Dodge pickup.

SUV crashes into CVS on Langhorne Road in Lynchburg

The fire department says crews worked to stabilize the vehicle and then removed the windshield. This allowed the woman to safely be rescued.

It is reported she sustained minor injuries and was treated by EMS.

Virginia State Police then took over the scene for investigation. No pending charges have been reported at this time.
