Woman killed in York County crash

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – A woman was killed in a crash east of York early Friday morning.

The York County Coroner’s Office says the crash happened around 3:39 a.m. Friday at Stonewood Road and Trowbridge Road in Springettsbury Township.

A 35-year-old woman had struck a utility pole and was found awake outside the vehicle.

She was taken to Wellspan York Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries around 5 a.m.

The coroner’s office says she was not wearing a seatbelt.

Springettsbury Township Police are investigating.

The woman’s name has not yet been released pending notification of family.
