Woman killed in wrong-way crash on I-24 in Rutherford County

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 33-year-old died in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 24 in Rutherford County early Friday morning.

The crash happened in the westbound lanes near mile marker 64 around 12:30 a.m.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol crash report, Jennifer Larsson drove a 2012 Dodge Avenger onto the westbound lanes of I-24 at Exit 64, which is the Waldron Road exit, and headed east toward Chattanooga.

The Dodge was hit head-on by a semi truck travelling west in the westbound lanes, according to THP.

No additional information was immediately released.
