The woman was from an assisted living home, located along Swarthmore Drive, where Van Ignen worked and police say that Van Ignen was the only person watching over her when she was injured.

Police learned there was a previous time in October when Van Ignen cut her fingernails so short to the point skin was being clipped and some of her fingers were bleeding. Police say that Van Ignen had to have held her down while cutting the nails.

A summons was issued for Van Ignen who is awaiting a preliminary arraignment and a preliminary hearing yet to be scheduled.
