Woman injured in Highway 63 crash in Racine

Mar. 20—RACINE, Minn. — An Iowa woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in Racine.

A 2017 Chevrolet Silverado was eastbound on Mower County Road 1 when it collided with a 2021 Dodge Durango driving northbound on U.S. Highway 63 around 10:30 a.m., according to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report.

The driver of the Durango, Tammy Maxine Hovey, 36, of Riceville, Iowa, was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Silverado, Lawrence Roger Conrad, 66, of Dundas, Minnesota, was not injured.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, according to the report.

The Mower County Sheriff's Office, Stewartville Fire Department, Grand Meadow Fire Department and Grand Meadow Ambulance also responded to the scene.
