Woman indicted after child dies in hot car in York County

YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A woman arrested after an infant and dog died in a hot car last year in York County has been indicted by a grand jury.

On May 21, Kristen Graham was indicted on charges of murder: non capital felony and child abuse/serious injury. This comes just two months after she was charged with felony murder in the case.

The child who Graham was supposed to be taking care of, Myrical, was left in the car back in September for about six hours as the heat index reached 100 degrees, authorities said.
