Woman identified in deadly Aurelius Township crash

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– The 27-year-old who died after a two-car crash in Aurelius Township, has been identified as Makenna Morse.

On Sunday around 2:30 p.m., Ingham County Sherrif’s Department responded to the two-crash crash at the intersection of Columbia and College roads, just west of Mason.

Officials say a 21-year-old man from Lansing drove one car and was traveling south on College Rd when he failed to yield on Coulmbia Rd.

The 21-year-old hit Morse’s vehicle which resulted in police transferring both her and her 3-year-old daughter to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

Police say Morse died from her injuries and her 3-year-old daughter is being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The 21-year-old man was also taken to a local hospital for minor injuries. Police are also saying alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
