Woman hospitalized after Harrisburg shooting, police investigating

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM)– A woman was hospitalized after being shot Tuesday in Harrisburg.

Harrisburg Police were called to the area of Kittatinny and Buckthorn Streets around 1:45 p.m. for reported shots fired, according to a news release.

Upon arriving, police say they found a woman who was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. She was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.

An investigation into the attempted homicide is ongoing and police say the incident appears to be isolated.
