This beautiful woman is 24-year-old Jessica Portelli from Brighton. Whilst queuing up to try on a bikini in Matalan a fellow shopper and perfect stranger blasted her saying girls like her “shouldn’t wear a bikini”.

What prompted this shameless woman-on-woman crime? Is it because Jessica was born without a torso? If not we’re totally failing to see the point of this changing room troll’s argument.

Defiant Jessica took to Facebook to share her story in order to “raise some awareness” with an empowering message accompanied by a changing room selfie.

The post reads “I’m happy with my biiigggg tummy with tiger stripes but you could have said the same thing to the girl who finally got out there and had the courage to wear a bikini and you just killed her confidence with one stupid comment.”

Of her critic, Jessica said: ‘I told her that I’d prove her wrong so confronted her when I had the bikini on – I told her I was happy in my own body and that I love the way I look.’

She added: ‘She had nothing to say to me really and I felt so powerful going back to my changing room so I took a picture, I wasn’t going to let her kill my confidence.’

Jessica shared the selfie with a friend and later decided to put it on social media. The post has received almost 3,000 shares and 300 likes.

Matalan offered Jessica a discount after a member of staff witnessed the incident. The supremely confident Jessica said: ‘The man in there who offered the discount was so nice to do so, but I wasn’t bothered by what the woman had said, it just went straight over my head.’

Yes girl!
