Woman found fatally shot inside home on West Side: CPD

CHICAGO — A woman was found shot to death inside a home in the city’s North Lawndale neighborhood.

Police said officers responded to the 1400 block of South St. Louis around 3 p.m. Thursday for a well-being check. Upon arrival, police discovered a 27-year-old woman with gunshot wounds to the body in the kitchen of a residence.

According to police, the woman was pronounced dead on the scene. The medical examiner has identified the victim as Tetorsha T. Williams.

No one is in custody. Circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation by Area Four Detectives.
