Woman Finds Out She's Pregnant With Triplets the Day of Her Husband's Wake
On Feb. 2, 2016, Courtney Hill’s “life was turned upside down,” her sister Amanda wrote on GoFundMe. Courtney’s husband, a Navy veteran named Brian, died in a truck accident that day, and just a few days later, she found out she was pregnant.
The Green Oaks, Illinois, widow told FOX 6 the couple had been trying to have another baby (they have a toddler daughter named Reagan) when Brian died. She took a pregnancy test the day of his wake and was shocked to learn soon after she was actually carrying triplets.
“I haven’t had a chance to think what is really happening - and it’s happening fast,” Hill said, but she was grateful she was able to hold her husband’s hand at his wake and tell him they were going to have more children: “I’m excited to have three more smiles that remind me of him.”
The babies are due in October and “while we feel extremely blessed, this is overwhelming at the same time,” the GoFundMe reads. You can contribute to the growing Hill family here.
