Woman attacked on North Branch Trail in Cook County Forest Preserve

NILES, Ill. — Cook County Forest Preserve police are investigating after a woman was allegedly attacked on the North Branch Trail at Bunker Hill.

According to police, the attack occurred last Friday afternoon, May 10, near Caldwell and Touhy. The 31-year-old victim was walking on the trail when a man on a bike allegedly stopped and struck her several times with a blunt object.

The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries. Police did not provide any details about the suspect.
