Woman who assaulted police officer gets 2 years

Apr. 18—CATLETTSBURG — An Ashland woman in her early 20s, who according to court records went by a different name for a short while in Indiana, was sentenced in circuit court to two years and one day for three crimes on Thursday.

Brittany A. Lamphear, aka Olivia Spencer, 22, who has been listed of Ashland and of Crown Point, Indiana, was sentenced on third-degree assault (of a police officer), third-degree escape and resisting arrest.

Lamphear previously pleaded guilty to three counts of misdemeanor charges, including shoplifting, in district court.

After she pleaded guilty to assault, escape and resisting arrest, Judge John Vincent relayed the two-year, one-day sentence and ordered her to pay $118.50 in restitution to the Ashland Police Department. He also ordered Lamphear not to be on "any Kroger property in the world" going forward.
