Woman arrested after high-speed pursuit through multiple Southern California counties

A woman was arrested after a lengthy high-speed chase through Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties early Tuesday morning.

According to a CHP spokesperson, officers began pursuing the suspect for speeding around 1:44 a.m. on the northbound side of the 605 Freeway near Telegraph Road in Santa Fe Springs.

The suspect drove northbound on the 605 to the Foothill Boulevard exit in Duarte, where she continued eastbound on surface streets, passing through Irwindale, Glendora and San Dimas, authorities said.

She then traveled south to Arrow Highway before continuing on surface streets through Claremont and Montclair. The pursuit eventually terminated in Upland on San Antonio Avenue near Belleview Road, the CHP spokesperson confirmed to KTLA.

The female driver, who was not immediately identified, was taken into custody just before 2:30 a.m.

A passenger was seen running from the vehicle after the chase ended; it is believed they may have entered a nearby home.

Despite a perimeter being set up, the suspect was not immediately located, and the scene was cleared after about an hour.

It is not known what charges the female driver is facing. No other information was made available.
