What is it about certain traditionally-female tasks that's so hard to grasp for some men? You hear endless anecdotes about husbands screwing up a load of laundry or loading the dishwasher in a mind-bogglingly inefficient way. Now, that's not to say that all men are inherently bad at these household tasks or to stereotype them that way. It's just an undeniable *fact* that many men are objectively less skilled at so-called "women's work" - probably because many of them haven't had the practice multi-tasking that moms have (just sayin').

Grocery shopping is one of those things that typically falls on the woman of the house's shoulders. In a new video, Deva Dalporto, the mom behind the blog /vlog My Life Suckers, ranted about the always infuriating experience of sending her husband grocery shopping on his own.

At the start of the video, Dalporto explains that her husband isn't a stupid guy by any means - he's got a degree in nuclear engineering from MIT - which makes his inability to consistently remember where TF the eggs are all the more baffling. "[T]he minute he crosses the threshold of a grocery store, his IQ plummets 100 points. Seriously, he acts like he's suddenly in a maze, with the lights off, blindfolded," Dalporto rants.

The funny mom of two recreates in perfect detail the series of phone calls as her husband repeatedly has to check in with his wife to figure out what's what and what's where in this ~foreign domain~. From trying to school him on the type of chicken he needs to find ("Cutlets. Chicken cutlets. CUTLETS!!!") to directing him through the store by memory ("Look with your mom eyes, not your man eyes!"), only to have him come home with "bags and bags of snacks...and beer" instead of anything she asked him to get, the entire recreated debacle is insanely relatable - particularly how exaggeratedly irritated and annoyed Dalporto grows as the video goes on.

The best part? Dalporto's "conspiracy theory" at the end of the video about why so many husbands are suspiciously inept at grocery shopping. According to her, it's all a ruse to only appear incompetent, so that men aren't even asked to go on solo grocery expeditions on their own to begin with.

Clearly, plenty of married women can relate - the video has been viewed nearly 300,000 times and shared by over 2,500 people. Ah, husbands. Can't live with them, can't be amused by the ridiculously damaged pieces of fruit they manage to bring home from the store without them.
