Crazy things are still happening during the YSL RICO trial that will determine the fate of Young Thug and many other of his associates under his imprint.

On Tuesday, as defending attorneys called witness Adrian Bean to the stand for cross-examination, he admitted to not feeling the best as attorneys were asking questions.

“Can I get water or something?” he said, “I’m so high right now y’all I’m about to go to sleep to sleep on y’all.”

After he was given a bottle of water, Bean was asked by District Attorney Adriane Love if he “needed a moment.”

Bean responded, “Let’s keep the ball rolling.”

This is a wild thing to say during a criminal trial. But at this point, it doesn’t feel so crazy since so many insane twists and turns have happened during the high-profile trial: In January 2023, Thug and his co-defendant, Kahlieff Adams, attempted to make a drug exchange in the courtroom in front of the jury, lawyers, witnesses, and deputies.

The incident was even caught on camera, as surveillance footage shows Adams approaching Thug as he’s sitting next to his attorney in court and allegedly handing the Atlanta rapper a Percocet, a drug used to relieve pain.

When deputies noticed the exchange they immediately confronted Thug and told him to hand the pill over. Deputies then started to search Adams and found more Percocet, marijuana, and tobacco wrapped in plastic with food seasonings to hide the smell of the weed.

Earlier this year, the trial received criticism from Hip-Hop artists after a leaked video showed Thug having a private conversation with his girlfriend, Mariah the Scientist.

The video was shared widely online and led to Drake commenting on a post: “This gotta be some form of jail misconduct. You gonna drag this talented man then not be able to control your employees using his personal business for their own gain?”

“Somebody benefited from this video even existing and that’s shameful whole case is a wash just 3 the guy and let him come home and continue bringing light to Atlanta.”
