Wiregrass woman dead; another injured in Florida two-vehicle crash
BONIFAY, Fla. (WDHN) — A two-vehicle crash in Holmes County, Florida claimed the life of a Troy woman and sent a Troy man to the hospital in serious condition on Friday night.
According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, the crash occurred around 11:15 p.m. when an SUV the woman was riding in with the Troy man ran a red light and crashed into a pickup truck at State Road 79 and County Road 173 in Bonifay.
The woman from Troy was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and the man from Troy was taken to the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in serious condition to be treated for his injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck, a man from Bonifay, was uninjured in the crash.
The crash is still under investigation and charges are pending in the case.
