Wiregrass Angel House kicks off National Crime Victims’ Rights Week

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — This week marks National Crime Victims’ Rights Week and you can help commemorate crime victims here locally.

It’s a week that was started in 1984 by Ronald Reagan to reflect on crime victims.

This year’s theme is ” How would you help?”

The Wiregrass Angel House helps crime victims by providing services like scene clean-up, crisis intervention, and dog therapy.

This week you can help them by showing your support at small businesses like CB’s restaurant in Slocomb, Rock and Roll Sushi, Deflippo’s Pizza in Ozark, and Hots Deli.

“We have several restaurants participating in dine and donate,” Shelly Linderman said. “CB’s was today, Rock and Roll Sushi tomorrow and so we appreciate them participating because they donate back to us and then we can help the community.”

Rock and Roll Sushi will be taking donations on Tuesday, Difilippo’s Pizza in Ozark on Thursday, and Hots Deli on Thursday.
