The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued the following weather alerts:

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT SATURDAY…

  • WHAT…Mixed precipitation expected. Snow accumulations of up
    to two inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze to a tenth
    of an inch.

  • WHERE…Yates, Seneca, Southern Cayuga and Steuben counties.

  • WHEN…Until 2 PM EDT Saturday.

  • IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
    conditions could impact the evening commute.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing
    rain will move in this afternoon, and likely remain a mix of
    precipitation through Saturday afternoon.
