Wilson County Commission defers McCrary Road rezoning

May 25—The Wilson County Commission deferred a land use amendment and rezoning for a property on McCrary Road for 60 days during its meeting on Tuesday night.

The request was made by Freehill Ventures LLC with permission from property owners for a land use plan amendment that would change the property from high-density residential to a commercial area. The rezoning request would change the property from R1 Rural Residential zoning to C4 Commercial.

The combined parcels of land involved in the request encompass approximately 180.7 acres on the east and west side of McCrary Road as well as a portion of Couchville Pike.
