The argument happened around 12:30 p.m. on March 25 in a Wendy’s parking lot off 16th Street near S Waverly Road in Holland.

Responding officers with the Holland Department of Public Safety learned that Robert Baltazar Leon and his wife had been arguing inside a 2009 Dodge Charger. At one point, he got out of the car, and Vinnice Leon locked the doors and started to drive out of the parking lot, police say.

Robert Leon then jumped on the hood of the car, and the woman turned the car left out of the parking lot onto a private road between the restaurant and a bank, according to police. During the turn, he was thrown from the car and hit his head on the pavement. He died at the hospital.

Vinnice Leon is scheduled to be in court on May 28 for a pre-trial conference.
