Why has the Mt. Juliet Cracker Barrel temporarily closed? When will it reopen?

Mt. Juliet's Cracker Barrel Old Country Store has been temporarily closed for remodeling as the brand seeks meet changing customer demands, according to the company.

The length of the closure isn't definite, but Cracker Barrel's corporate office said tentative plans are "to have a store celebration for our guests" later this month.

Changes are being made to the restaurant's décor, lighting, paint and fixtures for a "lighter, brighter and more open" feel, according to an email from Cracker Barrel's media relations department.

The brand "is evolving with consumer preferences," the email said, noting that similar work has been recently done at the Stewarts Ferry Pike location in Nashville.

Mt. Juliet's Cracker Barrel is located at 350 S. Mt. Juliet Road, just south of Interstate 40.

The Mt. Juliet restaurant was open over the weekend.

Workers were on site while customers were inside.

An antique décor sale also took place with more than 500 items up for grabs, including farm equipment, tools, ad signage and photos.
