The Simpsons has been around for a very long time, and it's safe to say most people's minds are filled to the brim with useless Springfield trivia.

But there's one question that nobody has the answer to: why is Maggie still a baby, despite being 29-years-old?

Well, the creators have offered an explanation. The problem is, its explanation is about as vague as you can get.

Twitter user Brian Frink (no relation to Professor) posed the question earlier today. "Umm I'm confused. This is the first time I'm watching @TheSimpsons in forever...

"How is Maggie still a baby with a pacifier? Shouldn't she be in college by now?!?"

Luckily, The Simpsons' official account was on hand to reply and put Frink's mind at ease. "That's the magic of #TheSimpsons," they explained.

In other, more exciting Simpsons news, writer and producer for the show Josh Weinstein recently shared some deleted scenes from season six/seven's iconic 'Who Shot Mr Burns?' episodes.

Not long after confirming that Hans Moleman was almost an action hero, Josh posted excerpts from some of the episodes' scripts, including one revealing what Homer would be like on the run.

Spoiler: Just as stupid as you would imagine.
