Netflix users said goodbye to fan favourite movies and TV shows in April, including a Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen movie, an Al Pacino hit and several Spider-Man films. But there are still new shows, films and documentaries set to arrive on the streaming site before the month comes to an end

Dead Boy Detectives - April 25

A new supernatural series, Dead Boy Detectives, premieres on Netflix thiw month, which is part of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman universe.

Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri) are the teen ghosts who solves mysteries as the Dead Boy Detectives agency.

My Next Guest with David Letterman and John Mulaney - April 30

John Mulaney heads back to his Chicago high school with David Letterman in My Next Guest with David Letterman and John Mulaney.

The special, coming to Netflix at the end of the month, is expected to include discussions about Mulaney's early comedy career, upbringing in Chicago and more personal stories.

TV shows and movies leaving Netflix Canada in April

April started off with several popular TV shows and movies being removed, including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's New York Minute, the 1983 Brian De Palma film Scarface, with Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer, and the comedy series Community.

At the end of the month, the 1999 movie Simply Irresistible, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Sean Patrick Flanery, Patricia Clarkson and Dylan Baker will be leaving Netflix. This rom-com wasn't a particular successful, largely due to the odd CGI crab in the story, but Gellar fans may want to give it another shot before it's gone.

Additionally, the movie Family, with Taylor Schilling, Brian Tyree Henry and Kate McKinnon, will be leaving Netflix. A film where writer/director Laura Steinel explores the world of Juggalos.

For more family-friendly entertainment Trolls and The Secret Life of Pets will be leaving Netflix on April 21.
