Westmoreland offers utility assistance to tornado victims

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Westmoreland is offering utility assistance to victims of the EF3 tornado that killed one and left three injured last month.

To provide relief to tornado victims, the City of Westmoreland has cut this month’s utility bills in half.

If you’d like to contribute to the relief effort, the Caring Community Foundation is accepting monetary gifts and donated goods. According to its website, 100% of donations made will go towards the Westmoreland Relief Fund.

Donations can be left at Farmers State Bank mailed to the Caring Community Foundation for the “Westmoreland Relief Fund” at 307 Leonard P.O. Box 54 Onaga, KS 66521. You can also donate through PayPal; all fees through the app will be covered when donating online.
