Weather NJ: Drizzly, cloudy and breezy days ahead this weekend

A mostly cloudy and cool weekend is on tap for the Jersey Shore.

An offshore low-pressure system combined with a cold front from the west will bring cool and cloudy conditions for most of the latter part of the week and the weekend, especially Thursday through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly.

However, high pressure to the north and east of New Jersey will keep most of the region dry or with just a drizzle of light rain. Minor coastal flooding is possible in inland Ocean County, the National Weather Service forecasts.

Temperatures will be cooler than last week, with daytime highs in the 50s and nighttime lows in the 40s.

Cloudy skies will dominate the region for most of the weekend. Sunday will be mostly sunny.
