We’re off to a quiet start to what we anticipate to be an active day. Thanks to the winds we haven’t cooled down much through the night with many starting off in the 60s. Wind gusts through Sunday will likely be on the order of 40-45 mph.

We’ve been talking about storms chances for this weekend over the last few days now. Storms look to fire up later today and even Sunday afternoon/evening hours. There are some indications that the strongest storms may occur later this afternoon. Once again, all types of severe weather appear to be possible Saturday evening.

Things look to quiet down briefly heading into next week before a few more isolated rain chances return by Wednesday.

Moral of the story: make sure you have multiple ways to receive warnings in the coming days, and pay attention to weather updates between now and Sunday.
