WC to conduct training exercise May 22
May 17—Weatherford College will conduct a large-scale training exercise at the Alkek Fine Arts Center on Tuesday, May 22. The drill, involving many emergency responders, may be visible from the surrounding area.
The all-day drill aims to test emergency response procedures and ensure coordinated action between WC employees and local emergency responders. During the exercise, the public can expect an increased presence of emergency vehicles and personnel on campus, including
police, firetrucks and ambulances. Also, simulated emergency scenarios involving actors and special effects such as smoke or sound may occur.
It is important to emphasize that this is a planned drill, and there is no actual emergency. The safety of all participants is the top priority, and the drill will not disrupt normal college operations outside of the Alkek Fine Arts Center.
