Waynesboro preschool worker arrested, allegedly struck child

BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – The Burke County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a woman accused of striking a child at a local preschool.

26-year-old Jazmin McCallister is being held at the Burke County Detention Center, charged with 1st Degree Cruelty to Children.

McCallister was taken into custody after allegedly being seen on video striking a child at First Step Learning of Waynesboro.

No further details have been released in the case.
