WATCH: Motorcycle rider high-speed chase in Kings County

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A motorcycle rider led deputies on a high-speed chase through Lemoore, Armona, and Hanford reaching speeds over 140 miles per hour.

The Kings County Sheriff’s Office says on April 11 around 7:40 p.m. a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a motorcycle near Hanford-Armona Road and 12th Avenue in Hanford.

Deputies say the motorcycle rider, identified as Jordan Battle, refused to stop and accelerated away at a high rate of speed. A Kings County Sheriff’s Office airplane (Air-1) was overhead and followed the motorcycle along various roads in Hanford before it traveled on Highway 198 at speeds more than 140 mph, deputies say.

According to the Kings County Sheriff’s Office, Battle stopped at a home in the 1500 block of Hartley Drive where he hid the motorcycle in the garage and fled inside the house. Deputies surrounded the residence and began using the PA system to order Battle to exit the residence.

Jordan Battle eventually surrendered was taken into custody and his motorcycle was towed. He was transported to the Kings County Jail.
