Warmer temperatures this weekend
After a very active Thursday across New Mexico, much drier conditions are on the way today. A few clouds have still developed off the mountains, but little to no rain will fall. Temperatures will warm back to seasonable if not a degree or two above. Calm winds will stick around today and into tomorrow as high pressure builds over the Desert Southwest.

Dry conditions will stick around all weekend long. Temperatures will continue to warm Saturday, getting even warmer Sunday. Sunday afternoon will likely be the warmest, if not hottest, day so far this year with the first triple digits temperatures likely across the southeast. Winds will begin to pick up Sunday afternoon, getting breezy to windy statewide.
Winds will get even gustier Monday as a storm approaches the state. High Wind Warnings and Wind Advisories will likely be issued across western/central New Mexico where the strongest winds will set up. Temperatures will remain similar to Sunday, very hot feeling more like summertime. A slight cool down will arrive early to mid next week before temperatures ramp back up with downslope warming.
