Warm with a few storms for the holiday weekend

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Tracking a warm and slightly unsettled holiday weekend. The high pressure that has kept our forecast calm over this week will begin to weaken and this will allow waves of energy to move into the region.

Warm and muggy Friday with high temperatures reaching the upper 80s to near 90 degrees, winds stay out of the southwest around 5-10 mph. Can’t rule out a few isolated showers/storms by Friday evening, this chance looks fairly low for most of the area.

We’ll continue with the chance for a few isolated showers and storms this weekend, while not a washout, you may have to dodge a few storms if you have any outdoor activities. High temperatures will remain in the low 90s through Memorial Day.
