Wanted in Berks: April 21, 2024

Apr. 21—The Berks County Sheriff's Office is seeking the following fugitives:

—George Diaz, 32, whose last known address was in the 300 block of Cherry Street, Reading, is wanted on strangulation and simple assault charges.

Police stated that on March 20, Diaz went to the victim's residence. While arguing Diaz began to throw her ariund the room and punch her in the face. When the victim threatened to call police, Diaz threw her on the ground and began to choke her with both hands. The victim was able to flee and call police. Diaz also fled the scene.

He is described as 5 feet 6 inches and 140 pounds.

—Geovonne Holmes, 35, whose last known address was in the 1700 block of Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, is wanted on burglary charges.

Exeter Township police stated that on March 14, Holmes was suspended from his job at a Dollar Tree and was told to return his store keys. Holmes was observed on surveillance using his store keys to enter the business while it was closed and taking cash out of the store safe.

He is described as 5 feet 8 inches and 145 pounds.
