I was sent this candle, and I couldn’t quite grasp WHAT it smelled like exactly. Flowery but also earthy? Fall, but I could detect some spring? I handed it over to Emily to sniff, and she declared, “This candle smells like a boy I used to know.” So there you have it. This candle smells like a boy (or girl) you used to know.

I was at a Fossil launch the other day, and one of the brand’s representatives told me about how Fossil has a smartwatch. I was like, “Oh that’s nice, but I hate how tech-y smartwatches look.” Because I don’t feel like wearing a tiny computer on my wrist (called me old school), I’ve always worn a regular ol’ watch that just shows me the time. But then she told me that Fossil makes smartwatches that LOOK like watches, and I checked out the collection online. And she’s right — they look like watches AND they’re smart. You can be a traditional gal AND access your email inbox from your wrist.

Mavi High-Rise Jeans, $128
I’m on what feels like a constant hunt for a flattering pair of dark wash, high-rise jeans. Then I came across this fabulous pair from denim brand Mavi, and my heart did that flutter thing that happens on a first date or when the pizza delivery guy rings the doorbell. Finally. A high-quality pair of jeans that will go with every top in my closet. I’d wear these with a cropped sweater and mules to work. Or with an oversized button-down top and white sneakers on the weekend. These skinnies will be a part of my official fall uniform.

Imagine eating a delicious fruit tart while sitting on a cloud. That’s what using this sweet orange papaya body scrub feels like. First, let’s discuss the scent. It’s like a slice of citrus heaven.
