WandaVision star Paul Bettany is returning to Marvel Cinematic Universe as Vision for a brand new series on Disney+.

The star has been a mainstay of the MCU ever since his role as JARVIS in Iron Man, with the character eventually being given physical form in the shape of Vision.

After prominent roles in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, the character had their biggest part in WandaVision, a series that followed Vision and Wanda (played by Elizabeth Olsen) as they settled for an idyllic suburban life.

Following the success of the series, there have been rumours that the story would be continued in some way. And The Hollywood Reporter has now confirmed that Marvel is planning a new series for the character.

Aiming for a release in 2026, the currently untitled show has landed its showrunner, with Terry Matalas set to be the main creative force. Unsurprisingly, there are no other details on the show just yet, but we anticipate more information won’t be too far away.

The untitled show will be the second spin-off from WandaVision, with Agatha All Along set to premiere later this year. That series will focus on Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) after she's rendered powerless, with the witch seeking to find powerful new allies.

In addition to Hahn, the series will star Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone and Sasheer Zamata, with the quartet playing Rio Vidal, Billy Kaplan, Lilia Calderu and Jennifer Kale respectively.

Locke, best known for his role on Heartstopper, recently spoke about the upcoming Marvel series, revealing he thinks the show will strike a chord with the LGBTQ+ community thanks to its “camp” tone.

“The show is about misunderstood people and people who are alienated by their society for reasons that they can't control,” he said to Entertainment Weekly. "I think that resonates a lot with the queer community. I think there'll be some camp.”

Agatha All Along premieres on Disney+ on September 18.
