Walmart worker assaulted for seeking receipt

May 16—HIGH POINT — A 68-year-old employee of the Walmart on S. Main Street was assaulted this week about 20 minutes after asking a customer to show a receipt for a purchase as the woman was leaving the store, police said.

After being asked to show her receipt shortly before 11 a.m. Monday, the woman went to customer service and complained about it, according to a High Point Police Department incident report.
