Wake-Up Weather: Dry-Line the main culprit in the overnight set-up for strong to severe storms

Summary: Mostly cloudy, humid and warm first step out the door, as temperatures warm close to seasonal into the 70’s to 80’s we have all necessary ingredients at the ready for tonight’s chance at severe storms. The caveat? A weak cap in the atmosphere, we have better lift, wind shear along a dry-line and low-level jet. Moisture will clash with storms by late tonight into early tomorrow for a chance at numerous to isolate storms across the region. Until then we introduce some fog by early morning on Friday and Saturday with another shot at severe storms by late night into Sunday. Then we take a pause in severe weather with sunny skies through Tuesday before we have another chance at severe weather next Wednesday.
