Voters overwhelmingly favor giving Augusta mayor commission vote

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The big question on the ballot, Tuesday. Voters were asked if they thought Augusta’s mayor should get a vote on all commission matters.

Some Augustans say this is considered to be the number one reason to cast their ballots.

This is where the numbers stand on that right now. Voters largely favoring YES, with a 73.94% of the vote.

NO trailing at 26.06%.
