Shaylin Hoke of ELCO voted Lebanon County's Student of the Week

The votes are in, and the community has chosen Shaylin Hoke as the Lebanon County Student of the Week!

Hoke is a senior at ELCO High School, currently enrolled in the second year of the Law Enforcement and Security program at the Lebanon County Career and Technology Center. Through ELCO's EMT program, Shaylin has earned her EMT certification and currently works as an EMT, a position in which she takes great pride and demonstrates a commitment to the community. Shaylin is also dedicated to her academic studies and is a talented artist.

She received 51.92% of the votes cast.

Brooke Beamesderfer is a student at Northern Lebanon Secondary School. Brook is an excellent leader and student, extensively involved in the school's agricultural programs as well as sports and community service. She is also a small business owner.

Hope Wagner is a senior at Annville-Cleona Secondary School in the top 10% of her class. She is an active member of the schools' FFA club, National Honor Society, tennis team and is the president of the Dutchmen Pals, a group that works with the Life Skills Class. Outside of school, Hope is active in 4-H friends, a violin player and volunteers her time at both Blessings of Hope and the Ronald McDonald House. She plans to attend Lebanon Valley College to major in Speech-Language Pathology.

Sophia McCollom is a senior at Palmyra Area High School. On top of being a successful student, Sophia works at the Hershey Lodge as an activities attendant, is a part of the Youth Advisory Club, which helps to influence issues facing youth in the community and served as the chair for the MiniThon focusing on Public Relation and Communications. In her spare time, she likes to craft, hike, kayak and camp. She plans to go into the education field.
