Voorhees commute adjustments on Thursday, Lafayette Ave. getting worked on

VOORHEES — Road improvements Camden County is doing on Lafayette Street will keep motorists dodging in places Thursday and Friday, according to the county Department of Public Works.

Construction starts at 7 a.m. and goes until 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Haddon Avenue and Route 73, the county says.

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” county Commissioner Al Dyer said.

Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway and 50 bridges.
